The RX Physiotherapy Method
There’s a reason it hasn’t settled — here’s the plan built to fix it
Ever left a physio appointment unsure what the actual plan was — or how long recovery would take?
RX 4 Step Method
At RX Physiotherapy, we believe in a highly personalised approach to rehabilitation. Here’s how our programme works:
We start with a comprehensive initial consultation to understand your specific goals and assess the current condition of your Neck. During this session, we’ll discuss your medical history and how your Neck issues are affecting your daily life. This evaluation helps us design a fully customised rehabilitation plan that addresses your specific needs.
Your first session builds the foundation for everything that follows. You leave with clarity and a concrete plan.
Clear diagnosis and explanation of your condition
Written treatment plan outlining what to avoid and what to focus on
Exercises loaded into our app with video demos
Pain and rep tracking so we can adjust based on real data
We restore healthy movement by combining hands-on treatment with targeted exercise in the right order.
Massage, dry needling, cupping and joint techniques as needed
Release guarded, overprotective muscles so they can actually activate
Restore joint range of motion and control
Begin graded movement and load through full, comfortable range
Once you’re moving well, we build strength and resilience so the same problem is far less likely to return.
Progressive strength training for muscles, tendons and joints
Balance, stability and control around the injured area
Sport- or lifestyle-specific loading (lifting, running, work tasks)
Build confidence so you can trust your body again
We’ve taught you how to move and train; now we help you keep it going long-term, with support when you need it.
Leave confident the problem has been properly resolved
Know exactly what to do to keep it from coming back
A clear training plan to build your best physical health
Understand how to handle future niggles without starting over
Move without fear in work, sport and daily life
Walk away independent — not reliant on ongoing treatment
Every session follows a structured process so you understand the problem, the plan and the expected timeline

Frequently Asked Questions
Our Physiotherapy FAQs are here to make things simple. We’ve answered the most common questions about appointments, what to expect, referrals, and how we can help—so you can feel informed, confident, and comfortable before you get started. If you still have questions, our team is always happy to help.
No. You can book directly with a physiotherapist without a GP referral. However, a referral will be required if you are claiming through Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, CTP, or some private health insurers.
Physiotherapists assess and treat a wide range of conditions including back and neck pain, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, arthritis, nerve pain, balance issues, and chronic pain conditions. We also focus on injury prevention, strength, mobility, and long-term function.
Here at RX Physiotherapy, we have clinicians that specialise in Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD), hypermobility, hypermobile Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), post-operative rehabilitation, golf assessment, strength and conditioning, endurance sports and women’s health.
Your first appointment includes a detailed assessment of your injury or concern, discussion of your goals, physical examination, and a personalised treatment plan. Treatment may include hands-on therapy (such as massage, cupping, taping or dry needling), exercise prescription, education, rehabilitation programming and self-management strategies.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and access to the area being treated (e.g. shorts for knee or hip pain, singlet for shoulder issues). You may be asked to change into shorts if required.
The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, goals, and how your body responds to treatment. Some people improve in a few sessions, while others with more complex or long-term conditions may benefit from ongoing support. Your physiotherapist will discuss expected timeframes with you.
Yes. Most private health funds cover physiotherapy under extras cover. You can usually claim on the spot using HICAPS, depending on your level of cover.
