Golf Physiotherapy | TPI-Certified Experts for Pain-Free Swing

Golf is a game of skill, precision, and physical control — but behind every great swing is a body that moves efficiently and pain-free. Whether you’re a weekend golfer or a competitive player, your performance depends on strength, flexibility, and proper movement. That’s where golf physiotherapy and TPI-certified professionals come in.
What Is Golf Physiotherapy

Golf physiotherapy is a specialized area of physical therapy that focuses on improving your golf performance while preventing and treating injuries.
Through movement assessments, targeted exercises, and swing analysis, a golf physiotherapist helps you move better, hit further, and play without pain.
At our clinic, all golf assessments are led by TPI-Certified physiotherapists — trained through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), the world leader in golf fitness and performance.
What Is TPI Certification?

TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) is a globally recognized organization that studies how the body influences the golf swing. A TPI-certified physiotherapist understands the connection between your physical limitations and swing mechanics — known as the Body-Swing Connection™.
Using the TPI physical screening process, your physio identifies mobility, strength, or stability issues that may be affecting your swing efficiency or causing pain. The result?
A customized program that aligns your body with your golf goals.
Common Golf Injuries

Golfers often deal with repetitive stress injuries or postural problems that affect both comfort and performance.

The most common include:

  1. Lower back pain – often from limited hip mobility or poor core stability
  2. Golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis) – tendon irritation from repetitive swinging
  3. Shoulder injuries – such as impingement or rotator cuff strain
  4. Wrist pain – from impact or overuse
  5. Hip and knee pain – due to rotational forces during the swing

A TPI-certified golf physiotherapist can pinpoint the physical cause behind these injuries — not just treat the symptoms.

How Golf Physiotherapy & TPI Screening Help You Play Better
A comprehensive golf physiotherapy program with a TPI-certified expert includes:

  • TPI Movement Assessment: A full-body evaluation that measures flexibility, strength, and movement patterns specific to your golf swing.
  • Swing Analysis: Identifying how physical limitations affect your swing plane, power, and consistency.
  • Corrective Exercise Program: Targeted exercises to improve mobility, balance, and stability — all key components of a powerful, pain-free swing.
  • Rehabilitation & Recovery: Hands-on treatment and personalized rehab plans to help you recover from injury and prevent recurrence.
  • Performance Optimization: Once pain-free, your physiotherapist helps you build strength and endurance for improved clubhead speed and control.

Benefits of Seeing a TPI-Certified Golf Physiotherapist

  • Play with less pain and more confidence
  • Increase swing power and clubhead speed
  • Improve balance, posture, and flexibility
  • Identify and fix swing faults linked to body mechanics
  • Reduce the risk of golf-related injuries
  • Personalized exercises designed for your unique body and swing

What to Expect During a Session

Your first golf physiotherapy session typically includes:

  1. A TPI physical screen and movement assessment
  2. Discussion of your golf history, goals, and any injuries
  3. Video swing analysis (if applicable)
  4. Manual therapy and mobility work
  5. A customized golf fitness and rehab plan
